For my final major project, I wanted to take nursery rhymes that we all know and modernize the imagery that fits with the text. I tried to keep the imagery up to date with current affairs, such as: War, the recession, redundancy and unemployment and hospital care.
Georgie Porgie
Georgie Porgie pudding and pie,
Kissed the girls and made them cry
When the boys came out to play,
Georgie Porgie ran away.
Jack and Jill
Jack and Jill went up the hill to fetch a pail of water
Jack fell down and broke his crown
And Jill came tumbling after.
Up got Jack, and home did trot
As fast as he could caper
He went to bed and bound his head
With vinegar and brown paper.
